I took my daughter into the children's ER on Christmas day. It's disheartening to be paying my bill, as best I can, and still get collection calls and for it to go on my credit. Because I have Medicare I don't qualify for any kind of financial aid. I have talked to several people about it and they have no power to do anything about it. Because I'm paying $30 and not $50 a month I am in collections at this point. But if you can't pay the minimum they want then they will still send you to a collection agency. I'm on disability so I have to do payments, which is fine. I healed quickly and have not had any issues. Next thing I knew I was waking up in recovery. They reviewed the procedure with me twice. But I reminded them before they gave me any medicine. My surgeon didn't have a witness when I previously signed. The only thing is I had to remind them I needed to sign consent again. They had directions for using a pager and I got called up quickly. The check in process was relatively easy. So the signs aren't necessarily accurate. It's difficult to find outpatient surgery because the parking lot they used to use is closed now. Except parking at this hospital is terrible. They explained the questions they were asking. Beforehand I had to visit the preop assessment. I had outpatient surgery at this hospital.
